Hooray! Government support of research has some benefits: We may now move the ugly, eye-growing potato from the negative association with a couch into that of a coach for better health.
Yes. I quote: “Research suggests that antioxidants in yellow potatoes -- like phenols and carotenoids -- may help fight the out-of-control inflammation that makes you susceptible to a wide range of illnesses, from heart disease to cancer.”
My RealAge sources go on to state that the Yukon potato’s cousin, the purple potato, also can also help “protect cells, tissue and DNA from free radical injuries that initiate inflammation.”
Unfortunately, no mention of the health benefits of pomme frites, either McDonald’s or In-n-Out. What’s more, if you actually go to the link, you’ll find that the study seems to be centered on the male of the species - men, not potatoes.
So, ladies. How are you approaching spring? It’s almost bikini time (for women, or please not men) and time to step into a department store dressing room, stand alone and observe which portion of your thighs your pieces of holiday pecan pie have landed. If you are within distance of a personal trainer, bicycle or swimming pool, now would be a great time to consider using one, or all, of them.
I’m taxed. More later. Let me know how you feel about potatoes. Russet out your White Roses and Yukon get more antioxidants in your system.
I'm interested in such offer,The sound quality in these podcasts is really poor. I feel bad about complaining about something that is free, but I think it is important.
